How Will You Contribute to the Company?


The Global Solutions Engineering Specialist, SDWAN/ZTNA joins a team of subject matter experts within Cradlepoint's SE Center of Excellence. Ideal candidates are well versed in SD-WAN, SASE, and ZTNA and ready to apply that knowledge in building the 5G Wireless WAN edge. The focus will be on our recently introduced NetCloud Exchange (NCX) platform. NCX is an advanced technology architecture combining network and security capabilities that is easy to deploy and manage at scale.


The Global SE Specialist is responsible for working directly with customers, partners, and account SEs to solve networking challenges and address business needs. From design consultation through demonstrations and Proof-of-Concept testing, this position brings both thought leadership and hands-on expertise throughout the sales cycle. Additionally, this individual contributes to growing the overall expertise of the SE organization and collaborates on product feature requests with product management.


The Global SE Specialist will be a well-organized self-starter with excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects. They will be passionate about technology, eager to learn and be a creative problem solver. What Will You Do?


  • Support Cradlepoint and partner sales opportunities as they relate to SDWAN/ZTNA features
  • Develop labs, training, documentation, etc. on Cradlepoint SDWAN/ZTNA features
  • Develop training, videos, and documentation on SDWAN/ZTNA features for Cradlepoint and partner sales teams.
  • Assist in leading the SDWAN/ZTNA Virtual Team, a cross-functional group specializing in SDWAN/ZTNA.
  • Engage and collaborate with Product Management on SDWAN/ZTNA feature requests and new product initiatives.
  • Consult on SDWAN/ZTNA related bugs and escalations with Support
  • Optional – Developing a script or leveraging automation tools to help with job responsibilities would be a major plus


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) supported by 5-7+ years of experience in network engineering
  • Five (5+) years of experience building or supporting edge enterprise branch routing and security solutions
  • Proven ability to understand complex and in-depth level technical situations and related business challenges and be able to communicate strategies for effective solutions
  • Excellent communication skills and comfort/experience with public speaking
  • Can distill complex technical concepts into an understandable language for any level of audience
  • Should have practical experience or strong knowledge in multiple areas:
    • Strong understanding and background in networking and security technologies (L2/L3, SDWAN, Dynamic Routing, Firewall, L4-L7, IDS/IPS, ZTNA, etc.)
    • Virtual Private Network Solutions and Technology (VTI, IPSec, DMVPN, etc.)
    • Cloud technologies – AWS, Azure, VPC, etc.
    • Virtual system environments – VMWare, KVM, etc.


Bonus Points: 

  • Experience working with Python, Automation Tools, PowerShell Scripts, API, etc.
  • Cradlepoint, Cisco, or other industry certifications
