How Will You Contribute to the Company?


TheSSP Consulting Sales Engineer – Integrators will support and drive enablement for their specific partners. Theywill support the partners in positioning Cradlepoint technology and solutions and will be the initial point of contact for partner CTOs and sales teams. They will be the link person between the partner technical and sales teams and the Cradlepoint selling teams in any given account or vertical. They will work side by side with their Partner Account Manager assigned to the same Partners. 


They should be a strong technologist and technology evangelist to drive onboarding, enablement, and pipeline creation to meet company revenue expectations and partner growth.  This position will serve as the main pre-sales technical point of contact for Cradlepoint’s system integrator, managed service, and reseller partners.


The SSP Consulting Sales Engineer – Integrators will create and drive the technical enablement strategy for their partners by aligning Cradlepoint technology roadmaps with the account’s vision and strategy. Measures of success include increases in partner revenue, new customer acquisition rates, renewal rates, customer satisfaction, and certifications for partner technical resources.


What Will You Do?

  • Train and evangelize system integrator and reseller partners on Cradlepoint solutions and technology
  • Exceed quarterly sales quota targets and management objectives
  • Document end-to-end enterprise solution designs and architectures
  • Proactively identify potential 3rd party partners that would enhance Cradlepoint products and cloud offerings
  • Manage certification activity with system integrator and reseller partners
  • Work in parallel with system integrator and reseller partners and Cradlepoint field sales teams on key customer opportunities
  • Document and prioritize new features and solution requests from system integrator and reseller partners
  • Periodically develop white papers and solution briefs
  • Create and deliver technical product and roadmap training presentations and demos.
  • Engage and coordinate the Cradlepoint enterprise support team during pre-sales trial and pilot activities
  • Set up, configure, and test innovative edge network solutions for system integrator and reseller partners in Cradlepoint labs working closely with internal R&D and QA teams.
  • Work with SSP Partners to create gold configs and test and certify Cradlepoint solutions for use with the offerings
  • Work with system integrator and reseller partners to define, execute & test technology solutions including 3rd party integration services with Cradlepoint Extensibility Solutions (API/SDK/Docker Container)
  • Manage all technical aspects of RFP/RFI responses with partners
  • Effectively communicate client needs to the R&D teams for future product enhancements
  • Collect and document competitive intelligence
  • Travel as required 


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Five plus (5+) years of experience working as a Sales Engineer/Solution Architect with system integrators and reseller partners
  • Five plus (5+) years of experience building or supporting edge enterprise branch routing, security, and wireless solutions
  • Two plus (2+) years working with Cradlepoint solutions
  • Five plus (5+) years working with LAN/WAN network topologies and interworking (ie. MPLS, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP)
  • Five plus (5+) years working with Enterprise, Carrier, or Public Wi-Fi solutions (ie. Motorola, Cisco, Meraki, Ruckus)
  • Five plus (5+) years working with Virtual Private Network Solutions and Technology
  • Five plus (5+) years working with Network Management Solutions
  • Five plus (5+) years working with Network Security (ie. UTM, Firewalls, IDS/IPS, SBC, ACL, NAT)
  • Three plus (3+) years working with Python, JSON, RESTful APIs, and Docker to build applications and scripts for networking functions
  • Experience in a complex sales environment
  • Ability to forge strong, long-lasting relationships with senior executives
  • Ability to creatively explain and present complex concepts in an easy-to-understand manner
  • Confident self-starter with integrity and accountability; a track record of consistent achievement
  • Decisive problem-solving ability and capability to assess people and situations with accuracy
  • Proven track record selling networking, wireless or security solutions to enterprise accounts, system integrators, and reseller partners
  • Excellent presentation and creativity skills
  • Confident self-starter with integrity and accountability; a track record of consistent achievement
  • A strong aptitude for business strategy and excellent collaboration skills
  • Solid understanding of 5G, LTE, 3GPP(HSPA+, LTE)/3GPP2(EV_DO) Broadband Wireless Data Architectures
  • SD-LAN/SD-WAN experience
  • Cradlepoint, Cisco, or other industry certifications at a professional level or above

Bonus Points: 

  • Bachelor of Science
  • Cradlepoint Certified Network Expert Certification is preferred
  • Experience with network performance testing platforms like IXIA and Spirent
  • Reside West of the Mississippi

Compensation and Benefits at Cradlepoint

At Cradlepoint, we know that our people are the key to our success. We offer a competitive compensation and benefits package to help with your individual needs and goals.


Your Pay:

The salary range for this position is listed below. The actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.


  • $126,000 - $156,000

Your pay also includes the opportunity for monthly sales incentives. Actual payouts are dependent upon the attainment of agreed to revenue goals and objectives as determined by Cradlepoint’s management team.
